La Fuerza del Pueblo reclama ante JCE «condición» de partido mayoritario
Santo Domingo, 29 ene.- La Fuerza del Pueblo (FP) depositó este viernes ante la Junta Central Electoral (JCE) un recurso de revisión a la resolución que le excluyó de la lista de partidos mayoritarios tras no lograr, de acuerdo con el órgano electoral, el 5 % de los votos en las elecciones de julio.
Al depositar el recurso, el delegado político de la FP, Manuel Crespo, afirmó que la citada resolución «constituye una franca vulneración de los derechos constitucionales de nuestro partido» que, afirmó, obtuvo 233,538 votos válidos, equivalente al 5.69 % de las votaciones.
De acuerdo con Crespo, el reglamento adoptado por la JCE «desconoce la voluntad expresada por los electores, lo que se tradujo en la reducción en 1.15 % de dicha elección, en perjuicio de la Fuerza del Pueblo».
El partido, que dirige el expresidente Leonel Fernández, solicitó, además, la revocación de la resolución sobre la distribución de los recursos a las formaciones políticas «por haber sido adoptada en violación del debido proceso constitucional».
La JCE decidió el miércoles que los partidos políticos recibirán la contribución económica del Estado tomando en cuenta la sumatoria de los votos válidos recibidos de forma individual por cada organización partidista en los tres niveles disputados en las últimas elecciones celebradas el 5 de julio de 2020.
Las organizaciones que obtuvieron más de 5 % de los votos válidos emitidos fueron el Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM) con una sumatoria de 5,403,594 votos y el PLD con 3,882,981 votos, por lo que se repartirán el 80 % de los fondos destinados a los partidos.
En una primera reacción a dicha decisión, Fernández dijo que se trató de una resolución «injusta» e «irregular» .
Para Fernández, si la Fuerza del Pueblo «obtuvo 5 % o más a nivel presidencial, no importa que no lo haya obtenido en los demás niveles», por lo que consideró que también debió ser reconocido como partido mayoritario.EFE
